How to shop
Buying
The majority of my jewellery is one of a kind and all handmade by me, and so you will not find large collections or hundreds of variations on this site. But this means that I can offer a great degree of flexibility so if you can’t find precisely what you are looking for, or would like a design with a different stone, please get in touch.
You might also have some jewellery that you would like re-designed, or use the stone from an existing or inherited ring to create a piece of jewellery with your own story. Contact me if you wish to discuss this option further.
Choosing a new piece of jewellery either for yourself or someone else, takes time and reflection. It is important to see, handle and try on the piece you are interested in. The shop is for now only online, but please get in touch if there is a piece of jewellery you would like to have a closer look at. If you are in London, we can arrange a socially distanced meeting, or we can have a video consultation. These strange times calls for a bit of creativity and as it is getting increasingly difficult to meet in person, we have to find ways of navigating around this.

Delivery and returns
Ordering
When you order from our website you will receive an order confirmation via email, and one as soon as the item has been dispatched.
Delivery
If an item is in stock, we aim to deliver within 4-10 working days in the UK, and 7-14 working days anywhere else. If you need the item sooner, please get in touch and we will do our best to meet your deadline.
Normal delivery time is approximately four to six weeks if a piece is made to order.
Delivery within the UK is free and will be dispatched with Royal Mail Special Delivery. Your signature will be required.
Delivery within Europe is £16 and will be dispatched with an appropriate courier.
Outside Europe delivery is £50 and will be dispatched with DHL, FedEx or similar courier.
Duties and taxes
Non EU orders will be exclusive of VAT (20%) and will be removed at checkout. Mikala Djorup Jewellery cannot be liable for any customs charges, import duties or taxes. These will usually be collected at time of delivery and will be the resposibility of the customer. Likewise for any delays in relation to customs clearance.
Returns
For website orders: If you for some reason wish to cancel you order, this must be done within 4 days of placing the order. If you for are not fully satisfied with your piece of jewellery, you are welcome to return it within 14 days. Within this time, I am happy to offer you an exchange or full refund, providing that the piece of jewellery is returned in perfect condition.
For bespoke orders: as bespoke orders are made for you personally, I can unfortunately not take back this kind of work. Please get in touch if you are not happy with your order and we will do our very best to help.
For cancellation or returns please send an email and I will get back to you asap.
Wedding and engagement rings
I am happy to offer personalized wedding and engagement rings, either it be a special design idea or a customized engraving. If you wish to propose with an individual and characterful design, please get in touch, and I will be happy to have some sort of meeting and talk through your initial wishes. I have a selection of unusual diamonds and pearls and if there is something I do not have, I can probably find it for you.
What is my ring size?
Finding the perfect ring size can be a bit tricky. It all depends on the shape and design of the ring, but I am pretty good at getting it right. The best way for you to find your ring size is to go to a jeweller and have your finger measured. Alternatively have a look at the chart below. If you need help drop me a line.

Packaging
All pieces of jewellery are sent safely in our jewellery boxes.
Product Care
Rings
All rings benefit from a clean once in a while. This is easily done by leaving your ring in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid and then give it a gentle scrub with a soft toothbrush. Also from the back. This is not recommended for pearl rings.
If you do this on a regular basis your diamonds will stay bright and sparkly.
Earrings
Clean your earrings like your rings, avoiding pearls.

All prices on the web shop include VAT in the UK.
